APC PDU Solution for Data Center Server Room from South Korea
This project involved the intelligent upgrade of the power distribution system in a large data center in South Korea. To address the data center’s needs for large-scale cabinet power supply, intelligent operations and maintenance, and local compliance requirements, 330 Schneider Electric APC APDU9953 PDUs were deployed in bulk to complete the standardization of the data center’s end-point power distribution. The project encompassed the entire process, from sample testing and bulk delivery to installation, commissioning, acceptance, and handover.

To address the data center’s existing pain points, this project adopted a bulk, full-coverage deployment solution using the APC APDU9953 smart PDU. With one unit installed per cabinet as standard, the solution provides a one-stop resolution for power supply safety, intelligent operations and maintenance, and compliant energy consumption management.
This overseas bulk deployment project adopted a “test first, then deploy in bulk; standardized implementation" model, with standardized procedures throughout the entire process. The core implementation steps are as follows:
- [Step 1] Conduct sample testing: A single sample unit was delivered and underwent half a month of compatibility testing.
- [Step 2] Verify bulk equipment: A full inspection of all 330 units upon arrival was completed to ensure the quality of the bulk equipment.
- [Step 3] Completion of Acceptance and Delivery: Functional commissioning was completed, and the entire delivery process was efficiently finalized within two months.
This project involved half a month of sample testing and two months of mass deployment, resulting in the large-scale deployment of 330 APC APDU9953 PDUs. It effectively addressed various shortcomings of traditional power distribution systems and achieved a standardized, intelligent upgrade of end-point power distribution in the data center. Following project implementation, the data center’s power supply safety, O&M efficiency, and energy consumption management have fully met standards and satisfied South Korea’s stringent local compliance requirements, laying the foundation for long-term expansion and upgrades of the data center while establishing a replicable implementation plan for large-scale power distribution deployment in overseas data centers.
